I’ve been in the plasma industry for a long time, and I’ve seen firsthand the dedication and hard work that goes into making medicines for those who truly need them. It’s truly amazing to be part of something bigger, knowing that my plasma donation contributes to helping someone in need. I find joy in donating plasma because I understand its impact on people, enabling them to lead their everyday lives more normally. My compensation is used as extra income for essentials like diapers, food, or supplies for my children.

I started donating plasma about three years ago. I came in to get some extra cash to help pay some bills and assist in saving money. I enjoyed LFB Plasma’s environment, so I decided to ask what the requirements were to work in this place and this field since I’ve never worked in the plasma industry. Felipe Gonzalez and a phlebotomist helped me get all the information I needed to start working here. I’ve been with the company for two years since August 9th.

My life and my family’s life have been much better since learning about plasma donation. My grandson has a Hemophiliac condition, and with weekly plasma injections, his quality of life has improved. He can now feel young and carefree without fearing getting hurt when he is having fun. It truly is a blessing to see him grow up and be himself, to see him be confident and strong. That motivates me to encourage others to donate plasma. Don’t only think of this as some extra cash; your donation is helping lives; it’s helping young and old patients to live without worry. I am very grateful for this life-saving medicine.

Having devoted four years to the plasma industry, my journey into the medical field was inspired by the unexpected loss of my father when I was a kid. I was motivated by a desire to make an impact, and I found myself drawn to the idea of saving lives. One story I often share with donors involves a donor’s wife facing early pregnancy complications. Through plasma transfusions, she successfully navigated each trimester, ultimately giving birth to a healthy baby. I think it’s beautiful knowing that what I do can eventually help someone in need.

Joining the LFB Plasma team has been comparable to finding a second family. Our culture is characterized by genuine care and generosity. Engaging in weekly team-building exercises, we collaboratively work to ensure the seamless operation of our mission, constantly striving for excellence – one of the core LFB common values we hold dear.

Embarking on the path from being a donor to assuming a role in center operations has been an incredibly rewarding journey for me. With six years of experience in the plasma industry, I initially found inspiration as a donor, driven by the desire to be a part of a field dedicated to collecting plasma and saving lives.

Having worked in nearly every position within the center, I've gained an extensive understanding of the entire process. I hope to one day see how the plasma is made into medicine that goes out to patients worldwide. It's not just a job; it's an opportunity to be a hero, contributing to impacting lives. Listening to the stories shared by donors over the years about how plasma has positively influenced their lives and the lives of those around them is undeniably gratifying.
