When setting up and configuring your user account using the Website or Application, or in a LFB Plasma Center, LFB Plasma may collect your name, email address, city, state, country, zip code, phone number, phone type, address, User ID, password, preferred language, date of birth, ethnicity, and sex.

Donation Process
Personal information is collected during the screening process, physical examination and various points during the donation process, and post-donation, as needed. The personal information collected includes government-issued identification number (e.g. social security number), health information, personal behavior, photograph, fingerprint scan and any other information needed to determine donor eligibility.

Location Services
LFB Plasma may collect your device’s location information to offer location-based services such as navigation and distance calculations, to generate personalized content for marketing purposes and to enhance our security features to protect your personal information.

Public Sources
LFB Plasma may collect information about you from publicly available information sources such as social media platforms and other third parties, including but not limited to public posts, comments, and interactions, public profiles and user information, and publicly shared multimedia content for market insights and feedback.

Donor Satisfaction
LFB Plasma may ask you about your satisfaction with the donation process, and the use of the Website or Application in a survey. This data may be processed by a third-party survey provider who assists LFB Plasma in conducting these surveys. Participation in these surveys is voluntary.

Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Services. Usage Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of a Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.   • To respond to you in the event you contact LFB Plasma with questions.
  • To evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of LFB Plasma assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data is among the assets transferred.
  • For other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services, marketing and your experience.

LFB Plasma does not sell your Personal Data, however LFB Plasma may share it with the following third parties for a business purpose:

  • LFB Plasma staff – your Personal Data will be accessed by our staff but only where this is necessary for their job role.
  • LFB Plasma affiliates –for the purpose of providing services and complying with laws.
  • Government agencies or our regulators – where LFB Plasma is required to do so by law or to assist with their investigations or initiatives.

    • help LFB Plasma analyze the data LFB Plasma holds

HOW LFB PLASMA KEEPS YOUR DATA SECURE

LFB Plasma implements commercially reasonable and appropriate technical, physical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information from misuse or accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, acquisition or access.

WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE?

Under certain circumstances you may have the right to:

  • Request correction of the Personal Data that LFB Plasma holds about you.
  • Request deletion of your Personal Data where there is no practical reason for LFB Plasma continuing to have the data.
  • Know types of third parties LFB Plasma has shared your information with.

You can exercise your rights by contacting LFB Plasma using the contact details at the end of this notice. LFB Plasma may ask you for a copy of your photo identification or ask you questions to verify your identification. 

LFB Plasma will investigate any request you make promptly and in any event within 45 days of receipt of your request, which LFB Plasma may extend by an additional 45 days where necessary. LFB Plasma will inform you of any such extension. Should LFB Plasma decide to not take action on the request, LFB Plasma will inform you of the reason for withholding action.

HOW LONG DOES LFB PLASMA RETAIN PERSONAL DATA?

LFB Plasma retains your Personal Data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes LFB Plasma collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal or reporting requirements. In some circumstances LFB Plasma may anonymize your Personal Data so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case LFB Plasma may use such information without further notice to you.

BIOMETRICS

LFB Plasma may use biometric equipment for identity verification, time keeping or other similar purposes. The biometric equipment may scan an individual’s finger, hand or face (“Biometric Information”). 

When Biometric Information is collected and when required by law, LFB Plasma will provide the required informational notice and obtain appropriate consent.

Biometric Information will only be used for the purposes for which it was collected and will be retained in accordance with applicable law. LFB Plasma and our biometric equipment vendors will use a reasonable standard of care to store or transmit Biometric Information, as LFB Plasma does with other confidential information, and Biometric Information may be disclosed to, and may be accessible by, LFB Plasma and our biometric equipment vendors only. LFB Plasma will not sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from Biometric Information and will not disclose it to other third parties unless:

  • The disclosure completes a financial transaction requested and authorized by you;
  • The disclosure is required by state or federal law, or municipal ordinance;
  • The disclosure is required pursuant to a valid warrant or subpoena, issued by a court of competent jurisdiction; or
  • LFB Plasma has received consent from you to the disclosure.
